Lynne Thompson - Biography

The artist's schooldays were largely spent in the Lake District where she developed a keen interest in the natural world.

Lynne then went on to study fine art, specialising in drawing and print making at Rochdale College and then at St. Martins and Wimbledon School of Art, obtaining a B.A. Honours degree.

An active conservationist, Lynne supports a British wild animal hospital and has been a volunteer with a local wild bird sanctuary for the last 20 years.

Lynne works in a variety of media including pastels, watercolour, acrylics and print making.

She is a member and Exhibitions Secretary of Rochdale Artists.

Lynne's wildlife paintings, animal art and pet portraits are held in private collections in this country and abroad.

Commissions for pet portraits and other unique works in acrylics are welcomed.
